StarChef.NET determines the cost price of a recipe by summing the calculated cost of each ingredient and sub dish used in the recipe. If you have made a change to the quantity of ingredients used click the recalculate link to view the updated cost price of the recipe.
Enter the number of servings your recipe yields using the box provided. You will notice that increasing or decreasing this value has no affect on the Cost column. The Portion Cost column is adjusted proportionally.
By entering your Gross Profit % in the box provided you can get a snapshot of the price at which you can sell the recipe (show both including and excluding tax). The information displayed here is not stored in the database or used when creating menus, it's simply a tool to help you determine if your recipe is financially viable.
