Scope of this policy

This privacy policy covers the StarChef.NET subscription service only. Links within this site to other websites are not covered by this policy.

Under 18s

Children are not eligible to use our service and we ask that minors (under 18 years of age) do not submit any personal information to us.

Information Collection and Use

To fully use this service, you will need to register using our sign up form, where you will be required to provide us with your contact information (e.g. e-mail address) and some other information relating to your professional employment. We use this information to do internal research on our subscribers' demographics, interests, and behaviour to better understand and serve our subscribers.

Subscriber Account Data

The privacy, security, and integrity of our subscriber's data is our highest priority. Therefore, Fourth will not sell, rent, or trade any contact or 'private' data stored in a StarChef.NET account - this includes any records that are saved as 'Not shared (private)'. Fourth is the sole owner of all 'public' information collected on this site, 'public' information includes any records saved by a subscriber as 'Make this record publicly available'.

Subscription

We request information from the subscriber on our order form and on the Subscription Agreement entered into between StarChef.NET and the subscriber. Here a subscriber must provide contact information and financial information (like credit card number and expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes.

Payment Processing

In order to process subscription payments online we require the billing address for the credit card used and our external payment provider, WorldPay, requires your credit card details. This is done on a secure WorldPay server using SSL (secure sockets layer). After the transaction has been authorised you are returned to the StarChef.NET site. Fourth does not have any access to these credit card details and they are not stored or processed in any way by Fourth. These details are stored securely by WorldPay in order to process future payments you may make, but WorldPay does not use your information for any other purpose.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the subscriber's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information of subscribers while on our site. Once the subscriber closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site, and track subscriber's movements. IP addresses and other information collected in these log files is not personally identifiable; it shows us generically and in the aggregate how our site is being used. The following information is gathered in the log files: IP address, referring URL, time zone, browser type, operating system, files accessed, and errors generated. All this information is gathered and used only by Fourth to help us analyse usage and trends to improve our application.

Sharing

This Web site takes every precaution to protect our subscriber's information. When subscribers submit sensitive information via the Web site, the information is protected both online and offline.

When subscribers are asked to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected using the secure WorldPay payment system.

Site and Service Updates

We also send our subscribers site and service announcement updates. Subscribers are not able to opt-out from service announcements, which contain important information about the service.

Correcting/Updating Personal Information

If a subscriber's personally identifiable information changes (such as a email address), or if a subscriber no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update, or remove that subscriber's personal data provided to us. This can usually be done in the subscriber's profile or by contacting Fourth 's Support Services.

Notification of Changes

This Privacy Policy may change without notice. By using this Website after we post any changes to the Privacy Policy, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them.
